Dr. Timothy Wilson is originally from northwest Oregon. He graduated from Stanford University in 1977, and subsequently received his medical degree at Oregon Health Science University. He completed general surgery and urology training at USC under Chairman of Urology Donald G. Skinner. He completed his fellowship in urologic oncology at City of Hope Cancer Center in 1992.

Dr. Wilson was Chief of Urology/Urologic Oncology at City of Hope from 1992 through 2015. Currently, he is Professor and Chair of Urology, and the Director of Urologic Oncology Research, at the Saint John’s Cancer Institute (formerly John Wayne Cancer Institute) at Providence Saint John’s Health Center in Santa Monica, California
