Gary A. Ulaner, M.D., Ph.D., F.A.C.N.M. is Director of Molecular Imaging and Therapy at Hoag Family Cancer Institute. A national leader in targeted cancer imaging, he was previously the PET/CT expert for the Breast Cancer Team at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. He is dual board-certified in radiology and nuclear medicine.
Dr. Ulaner leads NIH-funded clinical trials in molecular imaging and therapeutics, with over $8 million in extramural funding. He is a Fellow of the American College of Nuclear Medicine and recipient of awards from the Susan Komen Foundation and SNMMI.
He has authored over 110 peer-reviewed papers and the textbook Fundamentals of Oncologic PET/CT. He also serves on editorial boards of top journals, including Radiology and the Journal of Nuclear Medicine.
Dr. Ulaner earned his M.D. and Ph.D. from Stanford, completed an internship at Johns Hopkins, and trained in Radiology and Nuclear Medicine at USC.
