Dr. Cary A. Presant is a distinguished medical oncologist and professor with deep expertise in translational cancer research, chemotherapy optimization, and cancer therapeutics development. He has served in leadership roles across oncology centers in Southern California and remains active in research on antiangiogenic therapies, liposomal drug delivery, and cancer detection and quality-of-life outcomes. At City of Hope, he serves as a professor in the Department of Medical Oncology & Therapeutics Research and plays a leadership role in the NCI’s Cessation Initiative (C3I) focusing on integrating smoking cessation into cancer care. Dr. Presant has published hundreds of articles and continues to mentor and lead in cancer research initiatives.
