Dr. Xiaosong Meng, M.D., Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor of Urology and Dedman Family Scholar in Clinical Care at UT Southwestern Medical Center. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of prostate cancer and other urologic cancers, with a focus on personalized, evidence-based care.  

Dr. Meng combines his extensive clinical training with cutting-edge expertise in focal therapy approaches — including robotic and minimally invasive techniques — to help men manage localized prostate cancer while minimizing side effects. He also offers advanced imaging and biopsy techniques to enhance diagnostic accuracy.  

His research spans improving patient selection for novel therapies and optimizing outcomes for men with genitourinary cancers. Dr. Meng is dedicated to patient education and shared decision making, helping individuals and families understand their treatment options and tailor care to their goals.
